I love the Paper Mario feel! I wish there was a map function so we could see where we have been. I feel like I've been going in circles for a long time, and the rooms are similar enough to where I can't see where to go. I'm glad I tried switching browsers because that helped the lag.

AnderssonKev responds:

I agree, a map would make it a bit easier to navigate!

I've been bringing the bonus stars to the exit, but the medals aren't registering. Cute game~

Stepford responds:

Try refreshing the game with CTRL+F5 and then you should get the medal at the main menu!

Cute and fun!! Too bad there's not a save function. Lost all my progress when my browser restarted.

sarnyoger responds:

its supposed to save but sometimes it doesnt idk why sorry

Not sure if it was just my browser, but it felt like she was running in slow motion and occasionally other enemies would lag. This made the boss fight incredibly hard. I would have loved a sprint button! Otherwise, it was a great game and I loved the story.

Stopsignal responds:

Awh man!! I'd suggest the downloadable, though you seem to have finished it, hahahahaha
Awh man, thanks a lot for playing!!! Glad you liked the story, it was dumb but it's perfect for the tone of the game, i think! Hahahahha

Edit: Tried to replay it but apparently skipping the channels too quickly gives the same effect of not being able to progress. Guess I'm just not meant to finish that boss fight lol!

I just encountered the weirdest glitch. So the TV boss and I delivered death blows to each other at the same moment, and I thought I had won since the TV started exploding or whatever. Except I was brought back to the room before the battle. But this time, my battle controls stopped working, and I was able to just walk around the boss fight without being able to hit or get hit. Clicking "M" only muted, so I could not restart the game without fully refreshing the page. Doing that made me lose all my progress, though :(

Butzbo responds:

Oh no! sorry to hear it, it never came up while testing, but checking out the script it was certainly possible. I'll definitively get it fixed for the next update. Thanks for the report!

Edit: Ok, I understand about the difficult controls being intentional. However, there is no rewarding feeling for playing regardless of that fact. Short games that successfully implement difficult conrols are Deepest Sword and QWOP. I would rate this higher if it had a unique charm.

The portal goes beyond where the mouse is even if you hold still in the preferred position. This just seems like a complicated version of a jump mechanic because even the simplest of movements is just too frustrating. Players should not have to calculate the difference between where we want it to land and where it will actually/maybe land. If you are tied to the portal idea, perhaps you should have an indicator of where it will show up or make it more accurate in relation to the cursor icon.

EvanMMO responds:

Difficult controls used in an unforgiving manner is a defining feature of "Foddian" games, which is the theme of this game jam.

Bug alert: After completing the fifth-ish level, I got stuck on the Level complete screen. Clicking "continue" did not do anything. When I clicked it, the character just kept shooting the gun. Except for the blue filter and level completion text, I could still run around and interact normally with the environment. K!lling myself and getting a game over screen did not fix the problem nor did using the Escape button.

funsomegames responds:

Thanks for the heads up.

quick but fun game! i love the level-making option

adriendittrick responds:

Remember to share your levels around :)

The glitch mechanic needs work, as the parts with the long jump are unplayable for me. I just keep getting launched backwards even if i rotate in midair. It was fun up until that point.

YaenGames responds:

Thank you for the feedback.

Maybe this will help you out in case you want to try it again: For the Glitch Pulse jumps, it's easiest if you use it before you jump instead of while already in mid-air. It also launches you further if you were moving when using it.

So to perform this trick, you can: Move in the opposite direction, hit Glitch Pulse while still moving, hold it down, jump quickly afterwards. For extra distance, you can place an error platform mid jump and jump off of that again.
